The clique movie is based on the bestseller series written by Lisi Harrison. The movie generaly stars 7th grade Claire Lyons who moves into Weatchester having to deal with four popular girls; Massie, Alicia, Kristen and Dylan. They call themselves The Pretty Committee and are the most popular girls at OCD. Like most popular girl groups, they are mean, pretty and will not rest until they are the best of the best.
When Clayre's family move in, they cannot find a house. So Clayre's dad calls in an old friend...Massie's dad. Massie is oubviously outraged that a family must move into HER house, and right away gives Clayre a hard time t school. How will Clayre fit into her new life when she has four girls making fun of her everyday?
The clique is a great movie and is so realistic compared to teenager's lives which makes it so amazing. This wonderful movie is rated PG and is currently out on DVD in a movie rental near you.

Marcus Yallow (A.K.A. w1n5t0n A.K.A m1lk3y) is a 17 year old teenager who lives San Francisco, and goes to Cesar Chavez High. The high school is run by a super paranoid man who has even gone to the depths of installing gait-recognition- which is like face recognition, but it recognizes your walk. Being the hard core video-gamer, Marcus had found ways to surpass the system. Surpass the system, hack into the computers that monitor everything, sneak out of school- Marcus can do it all...Until the one time that he does do it ends up being his last.
When Marcus snuck out with his friends to find the next clue in their favourite game, Harajuku Fun Madness, it did lead to madness. Marcus and his friends ended up in the middle of a terrorist attack- and were taken in by what they thought were the terrorists. Turns out that it was the department of Homeland Security, and they thought that Marcus was the terrorist that did the attack. His whole group was questioned, and thrown into Treasure Island- a prison- where they were forced to give up all their passwords to hope that the “severe haircut lady” believed him.
When he finally did get out, he saw that his whole neighbourhood had gone into a state of panic. The police officers were monitoring people’s whereabouts at all times, and were searching everybody. Despite the many complains, no one would stop. Marcus decided he had to do something, and he had to do it fast. With the help of 2 friends, Marcus Yallow went on to defeat Homeland Security. A 17 year old again a whole company.
Marcus then launched something called Xnet- internet without any tracing. At no times would anyone know who was posting what. He got the idea after he found out that his computer was bugged by Homeland Security With his username, m1lk3y, he became the unofficial leader, and led all of the Xnetter into a rebellion against the HS. He even ended up giving an interview about the whole thing- only to be caught by the "severe haircut lady" once again. And to be threatened never to go home again.
'You have to choose- choose freedom." Marcus Yallow, Little Brother.
The ending of this book was not all dramatic as I hoped it would be. There could have been more explanation- to make sure that the reader understood everything, and all the computer terminology. Overall, it was a good book, at a 7 out of 10 rating.
Rating: 8 out of 10 This is the fourth book in the Uglies series and after reading the The point of view in this book is by Aya Fuse, not by Tally Youngblood like the previous books. Set in Japan, 3 years after “Specials,” it’s very interesting to see how the world developed after Tally Youngblood freed the world from the mind control it used to be under. The mind control that kept the Pretties bubbleheads. The way the technology developed, with everyone having a hovercam, and skintennas. Surgeries didn’t have to wait until the teen was 16. They could be done any time. They also have a new system, where everything is based on popularity or your face rank. The higher your face rank is the better things you have. Also, it was great to see the main characters from previous books (Tally, Shay and David), from someone else’s point of view. Aya isn’t very popular. In fact, her face rank is 451, 369 out of about a million, and climbing every single day. She wants to find a way to get a higher face rank…and fast. She then discovers a group a girls who does crazy stunts, like mag-lev riding in secret, just for fun. But before she can tell everyone about the group to make herself more famous, she gets caught by the group, and is forced to make a choce. Leave everything behind (and her hopes of a higher face rank) just to hang out with them. She accepts, and secretly films them as they go. During the process she discovers something else. Something she soon wishes she hadn’t… There were some really interesting concepts in this story. One of them is the popularity system. Now, if you weren’t popular, you could also get merits, that let you receive things. Like money in our time. Another thing is the different kind of “clubs” or groups and all the different ways you can rewire your brain, and change your appearance. There is a group called the NeoFoodies, who are always accompanied by floating balls of food, that they would suck with straws- like Jell-O. Another group is the group named “Radical Honesty.” They are a group that rewired their brains so that they would always tell the truth. “Radical Honesty gets rid of all deception; I can’t lay, truth-slant, or pretend not to know something. You can’t even invite me to surprise parties, or I’ll give it all away.”-Frizz Mizuno, Extras. Extras is a sci-fi book mixed with the exact amount of adventure and mystery to equal a book that is hard to put down. This book keeps you in suspense until the end. The ending was a bit anti-climatic. In other words, the ending was OK, but not great. There could have been more explanations about the whole series; as this is the last book. Overall, this is a fantastic read and a great ending to the series! Back to top: Movies and Books
first 3 (Uglies, Pretties, Specials) we was looking forward to reading this. Like the rest of the series by Scott Westerfeld, Extras is a very fast-paced book which could make it very confusing at first. Westerfeld does a pretty good job of explaining things, considering it’s a sci-fi novel but at some points the book gets confusing, though it helps a lot of you have read the other books in the series. It is possible to guess along, but there is no guarantee of being able to understand.
